Carphone Warehouse is expecting extremely high sales for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S 4. The United Kingdom based retailer offers a special pre-registration page where users can register their interest or offer to pay £29 to be ahead in line to receive the device.
Granted the number of registrants alone doesn’t necessarily correlate to actual sales, but Carphone Warehouse compared the Galaxy S 4 pre-registrations to that of the Galaxy S III, and the number is a bit startling. To be exact, the Galaxy S 4 received a whopping 446% increase in pre-registers than the Galaxy S III.
Even though many are claiming the HTC One to be just as good — if not better — than the Galaxy S 4, it appears the Galaxy S 4 still has the upper hand due to a well-known brand name. The Galaxy S 4 is expected to launch on April 26th in the United Kingdom, but pricing information is not yet available.
If this single metric is any indication, the Galaxy S 4 could easily break sales records held by the Galaxy S III.
