Verizon Wireless appears poised to strengthen its portfolio of tablet offerings in the coming weeks as it prepares to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.  By no means is the Galaxy Note 10.1 a new tablet, but it will be the first time it is paired with Verizon’s 4G LTE network, which may make it attractive to some.

The hardware specs and software features of the Galaxy Note 10.1 are going to remain the same as the WiFi model that launched in mid-August of 2012.  As a quick recap, the Galaxy Note 10.1 on Verizon will offer a 10.1 inch display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, Android 4.0, TouchWiz, 2GB of RAM, quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor, 7,000 mAh battery, microSD memory expansion, 5MP rear facing camera, and a 1.9MP front facing camera.

At this time, there is no word on pricing or an exact launch date.  I expect Big Red to offer up some more details in the next couple of weeks to provide a specific date and price point.
