Sony Xperia Tablet Z

In case the Sony Xperia Z smartphone wasn’t exactly what you wanted to see from the electronics manufacturer at CES 2013, Sony has one more exciting product to unveil.  Aptly named the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, Sony’s new 10 inch tablet takes design cues from the Xperia Z, and features similar high-end hardware.

To begin, the Xperia Tablet Z offers a stunning 10.1 inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 2GB of RAM, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 32GB of on board memory, NFC, 8MP rear facing camera, LTE, and microSD memory expansion.  In addition, it is built to be ultra thin — measuring in at just 6.9mm.  Other notable hardware aspects is the fact that it is water proof as well as dust proof.  On the software side, the Xperia Tablet Z runs Android 4.1 Jelly BEan.

At this point, there is no word on exact availability or pricing as of yet.  However, since it is Sony’s flagship Android tablet, there is a good chance we will see it launch in many markets worldwide.
