Today, we have some good news for those who own either the Motorola DROID RAZR HD or the DROID RAZR MAXX HD on Verizon Wireless.  As promised by Verizon upon its initial announcement, both devices are scheduled to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update starting next week.  As with any typical software OTA update, users will receive the update in waves, so it could take a couple of weeks before all activated devices receive the update.

Some of the enhancements coming with the update to the devices include Google Now, smart keyboard, improved notifications, voice search, improved voice and data connectivity, and new apps including Amazon App Suite.  Also of notice is Verizon Video and Color app are going to be removed in the update.

Be sure to check your DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD for an update notification beginning next week!
