Yesterday, LG announced that the first two carriers in the United States privileged to launch the LG Optimus G is going to be Sprint and AT&T. This represents one GSM carrier and one CDMA carrier. The Optimus G will first launch in the United States on the second and third largest carriers.
The Optimus G is a high-end Android smartphone that offers a 4.7 inch touch screen display with 1280 x 768 resolution, Android 4.0, Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GHz processor, LTE, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear facing camera, 1.3MP front facing camera, 21o0 mAh battery, and 32GB of onboard memory. However, it is worth noting that the AT&T version will feature an 8MP camera, while the Sprint version offers the 13MP model.
Unfortunately, pricing and launch details for the AT&T and Sprint models have not been publicly announced. As soon as either carrier comes forward releasing details, we will let you know. In addition, we will keep our eyes peeled for any potential announcements by Verizon and T-Mobile on the Optimus G.
