The HTC One X is still one of the better smartphones available across the world and on AT&T, but it appears HTC is already looking past it to the future. Known internally as the Endeavour C2, the successor to the One X is said to feature a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, among other improvements.
In addition, Stuff.tv’s source claims it features better battery performance, another color option, and it will come bundled with UrBeats earbuds. On the software side, it is rumored to contain HTC Watch 2 and hopefully launch with Android 4.1. In terms of a launch time frame, the One X successor is said to be available on October 1 or earlier.
It is interesting to note that just a couple of weeks ago the HTC Era 42, or the HTC One X+, was rumored to launch for T-Mobile. Some of the specs, such as the 1.7GHz quad-core processor, matches up. Therefore, there is good reason to believe the successor to the One X will be known as the One X+ and could launch on AT&T and T-Mobile in September.
