By now, many of us know about the Samsung and Apple trial verdict found by the jury. While many would believe the billion dollar plus sum Samsung owes to Apple is enough to cover all the damages, Apple is pursing a sales ban on eight different Samsung Galaxy smartphones in the United States.
According to a report by TheVerge, Apple wants to impose a ban on the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S II (AT&T and T-Mobile), Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge, and the Galaxy Prevail.
In order for Apple to successfully win a sales ban on these devices, the company will have to prove that these products will continue to harm Apple since they each infringe on intellectual property. Since the jury already found Samsung guilty, it would not be a surprise if the sales ban passes on these devices, but I’m sure Samsung will continue to fight the ruling if it happens.
