This is certainly an interesting turn of affairs as Amazon announced that the Kindle Fire is officially sold out. By this terminology, I’m assuming Amazon is completely out of stock and it is impossible to buy a new Kindle Fire at this time. Now, the significance of the Kindle Fire being out of stock is the fact that the revamped model is said to be right around the corner.
Expected to launch on September 6, Amazon is holding a press conference that is expected to see the announcement of a new Kindle Fire Android tablet device. With a clear adversary in the Nexus 7, Amazon can now specifically target that device and make the Kindle Fire into something that consumers will want more than the Nexus 7.
It is also worth noting that Amazon claims the Kindle Fire owns 22% of the tablet market share in the United States, which is pretty impressive for a niche 7 inch device.
