If you’re looking to save some money on the upfront cost of a smartphone on Verizon Wireless, then you may want to consider this recently leaked Samsung device.

Code named Jasper, this smartphone is set to feature Android 4.0, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and a 4-4.3 inch screen of 800 x 480 resolution.  The processor is solid, but the screen is mediocre at best and launching with Android 4.0 is essentially the standard nowadays.  According to the Twitter leak, it features 4G LTE connectivity and ICS-esque soft keys lining the bottom of the device.  Given the fact that the press photo already leaked online, I imagine Samsung and Verizon are a week or two away from officially announcing the Jasper.

Assuming the Samsung Jasper contains an enticing price tag ($50 or less on contract), then I’m sure it will appeal to those with a tight budget for a smartphone.
