Several days ago, we reported that Samsung would sell a Developer Edition of its Galaxy S III directly to consumers in the United States on Verizon Wireless. The subsidized device on Verizon comes with a locked bootloader and Samsung recognizes that there is a sizable percentage of consumers who wish to own the Galaxy S III with an unlockable bootloader. Unfortunately, Samsung didn’t even have a page dedicated to the developer device, but today a page is now live.
If you navigate to the source link below, you’ll come across a Coming Soon teaser style page for a 32GB pebble blue Galaxy S III that is proudly touted as a Developer Edition device. It is interesting to note that Samsung initially announced it would cost $599 and the smartphone advertised is a 32GB model.
I imagine it is only another week or so before Samsung begins shipping the Developer Edition Samsung Galaxy S III on Verizon.
