Google Nexus 7 tablet pre-orders begin shipping today from Play Store

We finally have some good news regarding Nexus 7 pre-orders. According to Google, the first wave of orders starting shipping today and all the orders thus far will ship within three business days. Unfortunately, this was announced today (a Friday), so three business days brings us to Tuesday of next week.

Google will email each individual customer when his/her Nexus 7 ships. In addition, a tracking number will be provided so you can track all the way from California to your house. We’re hoping Google can ship the devices as quickly as possible because many consumers are eager to get their hands on the tablet.

With pre-orders already shipping, it is only a matter of days before retailers are given the green light to begin selling the tablet to customers. Be sure to check your email to see whether your Nexus 7 that was pre-ordered through Google Play began shipping or not. Remember that Google says it will take at least three business days to ship.
