A recent update for Hulu Plus just landed in the Google Play Store and the update does bring a few notable improvements, enhancements, and functions. Arguably, the most important change in the app is the ability for it to work on 7 inch tablet devices such as the HTC Flyer, Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch, and the Acer Iconia Tab A100.
Interestingly enough, the Hulu Plus app was updated days before the Google I/O conference in which the Google Nexus Tablet with its 7 inch screen is expected to be announced. I imagine that many potential owners of the tablet would want to play Hulu Plus on it, so perhaps Hulu wants its app to work with 7 inch devices simply in time for the Nexus tablet.
In addition, Hulu Plus is now optimized to work on high-resolution displays (for smartphones and tablets alike), offers increased compatibility with ICS devices, and general bug fixes and UI enhancements. The last neat new future is the ability to initiate a one week free trial of Hulu Plus directly from the app itself.
As you may be aware, the Hulu Plus app is free to download in Google Play for your Android device, however, it requires a paid monthly subscription of $7.99.
