Android Phones, Pantech, Rumors
Pantech is not exactly the most recognized name in the technology market, even though the American company has launched a couple of more than decent gadgets during the past few years. However, it finally seems as if Pantech is ready to step it up a notch and come with a high-end device or two capable of drawing some serious attention from technology geeks.
One of these devices is called the IM-A830S (most definitely a preliminary title), has just had a benchmark leaked and might be one of the most surprising gadgets of 2012. The smartphone will not be powered by a quad-core processor, but it will feature pretty much the next best thing, a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 chip.
Other known features include an HD screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution (probably a 4-inch one, but we’re not sure about that), as well as the running of Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The guys at ameblo.jp are also pretty sure that the phone will be released in Asia for starters and that it will be offered by SK Telecom in South Korea.
That’s all we know for the moment and it’s enough to make us excited about the Pantech IM-A830S smartphone, but too little to know for sure whether the device will be a true head turner or just another Android-based gadget to get lost in the crowd.
Hopefully, we will know some additional details about the smartphone soon enough, so stay tuned on Androinica.com to be the first to find them out as soon as they will be made official.
