HTC has just unveiled its new smartphone line-up at the MWC, but for the time being there’s no official release date attached to any of the three ‘’Ones’’. All the rumors and speculations of late pointed towards an April release at least for the One X and V and the guys at ausdroid.net add to those speculations today after picking up a detail that nobody else saw in one of X’s official photos.
On HTC Australia’s official website, the One X has a possible release hint on its back, the words ‘’Mon, Apr 2, Sydney’’ being (barely) visible. While this may not be a launch hint after all, it sure seems like an unusual coincidence to be only that, considering the fact that even the guys at HTC said during their Barcelona press conference that the One smartphone line will make its way to the market in Q2 2012.
Of course, there’s no way to know if the HTC One X will be released all around the globe at the same time, but we have no reason to think that Australian Android geeks will be ‘’spoiled’’ before we will, so if this latest rumor proves to be true, we should get ready to see the beautiful 4.7-incher in the US and Europe in just one month (and a day) time.
On a different note, even though we reported a while back that the HTC One X will be an AT & T exclusive for starters in the United States, you should know that the carrier will in fact most likely release the dual-core version of the smartphone first, and not the model powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor.
That particular version might come later to AT & T or it might come to Verizon first. However, for the time being, I think we should cool off a little with all these rumors and speculations and wait for the guys at HTC to announce something official.
Don’t forget to check back on our website soon, as we are bound to find out more details about the HTC One X’s global release and exact price tag.
