Samsung will be lightening up two of its biggest phones released in 2011, as both the Sprint Epic 4G Touch and sim-unlocked Galaxy Nexus will soon be available in white.
Beginning January 8, 2012, Sprint will begin selling a “Frost White” Epic 4G Touch. The device will retail for $199 and be available online, in Sprint retail stores, and at authorized dealers. The standard rules about contract purchases apply – price only available with a 2-year agreement, an additional $10 smartphone charge will be applied, and 4G availability will vary by location.
As for the Galaxy Nexus, patient Android fans in the UK can purchase that phone in white next month. As Phandroid notes, both MobileFun and Clove have the Galaxy Nexus 16 GB in white listed at £519.95 and £498.00 respectively (VAT included). The phones are SIM unlocked.
Both phones will be almost completely white, save for the side and lower back portions. While many “white” phones that we’ve seen in the past have just been black phones with a white rear, the Epic 4G Touch and Galaxy Nexus will both have white front and backsides. Here are a couple of photo renders courtesy of Samsung.
UPDATE: The Galaxy Nexus has only a rear cover that is white. It’s the half oreo phone.
