Acer Iconia Tab A200 is a 10.1-inch Android tablet for only $329, available on Jan. 15

Acer isn’t waiting until CES to get a jump on announcing its latest Android tablet. Acer America today announced that beginning January 15, it will sell the Iconia Tab A200 for only $329. That’s a “full-featured HD tablet at an attractive” price according to Acer. And while we can’t validate those claims just yet, the device’s resume definitely warrants an interview.

The Iconia Tab A200 has a 10.1-inch screen with an 1280 x 800 resolution. It weighs 1.5 pounds, has a gray-colored titanium casing, and features the following ports: USB 2.0, microSD, and micro-USB. Inside, the device has a dual-core Tegra 2 processor that powers plenty of gaming options from the Tegra Zone app, and support for Flash. Acer promises eight hours of battery life and access to the Android Market. And for good measure, Acer’s thrown in a 2 MP front-facing camera.

Like most tablets we’ve seen announced recently, the Tab A200 ships with Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). But, Acer is quick to note that it will deliver Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) by mid-February. While sometimes we’re suspicious of companies saying, “We promise to upgrade” and then don’t say anything until weeks later, we’re a little intrigued at the fact that the company actually delivered a date.

I’m scheduled to attend an Acer press-conference this weekend in the run-up to CES, so look out for some hands-on time and quick impressions soon.

Can you hit them up for some intel on the rumored A700, and their strategy as a whole?

Can you also ask them about the A500's update to ICS? They said January, but they haven't met an update date yet. I figure it'll be February on that too.

Would love to know more specs on this device.
Like internal memory, GPS, etc..

Also would like to know if Acer plans to introduce a Tegra 3 model, if so specs and cost..
