UPDATE: This contest is over. Congrats to the winner!
SugarSync, the cloud storage app that can sync data in several places, got cozy with SanDisk Memory Zone, the device storage app that we called awesome for its ability to manage your data wherever it may rest.
SanDisk Memory Zone, a great utility app that manages how much memory is available on a phone and memory card, now works with SugarSync. Memory Zone is a central place to monitor memory space and access photos, documents, or others files stored in various places. With the ability to import cloud services, like SugarSync, SanDisk gains even more power. If a user sees that his memory card is running low on space, the app can upload those files to SugarSync for safe-keeping and continuous access. Likewise, users can browse SugarSync to continue accessing their content, or download files to the memory card.
SanDisk’s Backup/Restore feature is a useful aspect of the integration. Contacts, Photos, Music, Videos, and Documents stored on internal memory can be auto-archived every day, once a week, or every 2 weeks. SugarSync can then house back-ups for your stuff in the cloud.
To celebrate the launch of the integration, Androinica.com and SugarSync are giving one reader a free premium account to store 30GB of data per year. SugarSync offers all new members free 5GB storage and plenty of options to expand, but we’re hooking-up one lucky reader with an extra 25GB.
Entry to the competition is very simple: Add a comment below saying what you store most on your phone – photos, music, plans for world domination? – and we’ll select someone at random on Friday November 25, 2011. Be sure to post your comment with A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS so we can contact the randomly-selected winner. (Don’t put your e-mail in the body of the message, just in the section that says e-mail. Only we will be able to see it.)
