Though we all love the classic Christmas albums from Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole, hearing the same songs every year isn’t always the way you want to spend your holiday season. Why not expand those listening options beyond the same songs played on loop at your job, in the malls, and on the radio?
Music streaming service Slacker can cure your holiday music fatigue. It has the classics you’ve always known and millions of songs to listen to throughout the year. Slacker has stations built around genres and themes, but users can further personalize the experience by creating stations dedicated to their favorite song or artist. Aside from radio, Slacker can be your personal jukebox thanks to its ability to stream on-demand music. Premium subscribers ($9.99 monthly) have the option to play a particular song or entire album at any time, making it tough to grow tired of the same song in Slacker.
Slacker also updated its Android app to be compatible with Ford SYNC AppLink. That will enable voice-controlled playback of the app in a Ford Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Fiesta, Mustang, F-150, F-150 SVT Raptor, Super Duty, Expedition, E-Series and Shelby GT500, Lincoln MKZ, MKZ Hybrid and Navigator.
Since Slacker Premium makes for a great gift this holiday season, we’re giving away three (3) subscriptions to Slacker Premium, good for three months. To enter, simply leave ONE comment below sharing the title of your favorite Christmas song.
- The comment must be left from an account with a valid email address. (Do not put email in comment, we can see it from the admin panel.)
- We’ll select three people at random on Friday, December 9, 2011.
Brownie points go to anyone who clicks the +1 button for the Androinica.com Google+ widget (On the right side of the screen).
