It seems like handset makers have struck gold by making white phones. We had big news around the white version of the Galaxy S II heading to Europe a few weeks back. No one could ever forget the huge deal made of the iPhone 4 finally coming in a white shell. Well, now we can officially add the DROID Incredible 2 to the list of snow colored devices.

Following a leak from the retailer yesterday, Best Buy has officially announced that the white version of the HTC DROID Incredible 2 will be available on August 21. It will sell as a Best buy exclusive, and will run on Verizon’s network. This came down in the form of a press release from Best Buy on Thursday afternoon.

Incase you don’t remember it, the DROID Incredible 2 is the successor to the DROID Incredible. It comes with a 4″ touch screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 768MB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front facing camera. and is running Android 2.2. That last spec has me a little bummed, as I would like to see this new version shipping with the already available Gingerbread update.

Best Buy is pricing the white beauty at $149.99 with a 2 year contract agreement. It will be available at all Best Buy retail locations, Best Buy Mobile locations, and on Sunday, August 21.
