It seems like there are new LTE networks being lit up by Verizon every couple weeks this year, and August is looking to be no different. Just last week, Verizon gave some 4G love to 28 whole new markets, and now it is promising to add at least 15 more markets to their tally on August 18th.

These announcements are coming just in time for the folks in Tuscon and Albany to run out and buy the Galaxy S II or the Droid Bionic. It seems like all the rumors and leaks we are hearing too well timed to be coincidence, but we won’t try and point any fingers.

On top of announcing a whole set of new LTE 4G markets, Verizon will also be expanding their current markets. That means that even more customers in Salt Lake City and Cincinnati will be getting access to the blazing fast cellular network.

Here is the list of the new networks:

  • Frederick, MD
  • Ft. Collins, CO
  • Greater Worcester, MA
  • Provo/Orem, UT
  • Tuscon, AZ
  • Altoona, PA
  • Johnstown, PA
  • Omaha, NE
  • Council Bluffs, NE
  • Bakersfield, CA
  • Salinas, CA
  • Monterey, CA
  • Ithca, NY
  • Albany, NY
  • Syracuse, NY

The markets that are getting an expansion are:

  • Salt Lake City, UT
  • Nyack, NY
  • West Nyack, NY
  • Orangeburg, NY
  • Pearl River, NY
  • Spring Valley, NY
  • Columbus, OH
  • Cincinnati, OH
  • Metrowest, MA

Do any of you live in these areas? Are you excited about getting access to LTE? If not, are you mad at Big Red for ignoring you? Let it all out int he comment section below.
