Finally, Netflix comes to Honeycomb, albeit, unofficial but here nevertheless. It’s funny because earlier today (on Google+) I was talking about Netflix’s flawed process with rolling out its services for Android devices. Well, it seems some smart person out there found out the streaming companies dirty little secret — which shows the the update working on Honeycomb tablets. So for all you Honeycomb users you can now play and stream Netflix right on your tablet.
I’ve been testing it and can confirm it works great on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Netflix received an update this morning making 24 devices officially supported and in that list was the new Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet running Android Honeycomb. The update works perfectly, and it fits my screen with no imperfection. I knew that streaming would work great on these tablets, but seeing it in action for the first time is pretty cool. This Netflix app is fresh off the market so give it some time for some more in-depth analysis from yours truly.
Enough of the talking, let’s give you want you want, right? If you want this app all you have to do is just download the new Netflix v1.3 APK and install it like any other application and you’re all set. Once this hits all over the web, it will be interesting to hear something official from NVIDIA or Netflix on this matter.
