The incredibly popular mobile game ‘Cut The Rope‘ has finally made its way to the little green robot. Surprisingly, however, the app is currently exclusive to the lesser used alternative app store, GetJar. Much like the Amazon App Store, you will need the have sideloading enabled on your device in order to install it.
If you are unfamiliar with Cut The Rope, let me give you a little background on the game. It is a physics based game where you are presented with deceivingly simple puzzles. The goal is to get the candy hanging on the end of a rope to a small monster named OmNom. As the game progresses, you are given new tools to use to accomplish your goal, including winches, gravity buttons, and even magical hats.
The Android version of the game launches with all the content currently available on iOS. I can tell you from personal experience that this is one of the most addictive mobile games available. It was Cut The Rope for iPad that finally broke my addiction to Angry Birds. You have been warned.
The game will keep its GetJar exclusivity for about a week, according to reports. After that, it will be released for other app markets. Pricing for those releases, or the possibility of an ad-free version, are still unknown. For now, take a look at a promo video that shows how Cut the Rope operates, and how the game gets more interesting and challenging the further you go.
