Android Marketplace coming to Google TV soon, what apps would you want?

Google TV
With the news about Android tablets coming these days, it might have been easy to forget that Google TV still exists, and it turns out GTV is about to get a big boost. At the Over-the-Top TV Conference (OTTCon) in San Jose yesterday, Ashish Arora,?the VP and general manager of Logitech’s Digital Home Group (of which GTV is part), was asked about the Android Market on GTV.?He didn’t give an exact time frame, but he said that the Android Market would “definitely” be on GTV this year, and that it would likely happen in the “very short term”.
There have been rumors that the Market would eventually make its way to GTV, especially once Google added the an option for compatibility with non-touchscreen devices to the developer console. The big question is: what apps would you want on your TV? YouTube makes the most sense, but it’s already built-in to GTV, as is Twitter, Pandora, Netflix, Amazon VOD, and a couple news apps. There aren’t really a lot of games that would make sense to translate to a TV, and a lot of news or social networking content that you may want would be accessible through the Chrome browser anyway.
So, what apps would you use?

I wouldn't mind having an app that could circumvent the restrictions of viewing streaming content on the prime television networks. And of course, access to Hulu either freely or through Hulu Plus
google earth, google calendar, googles talk to text widgets, solitaire, freecell, teamviewer. google voice are just a few apps I would like on my google tv.
I think there could be a lot of games but probably only until nvidia is on board. Imagine a truly open game console that anyone can develop for.
Slingplayer
This is easy. VLC to beef up the media player options. That alone would be a great addition!!!
The ability to use google video chat would be awesome. Or how about an app that would enable VPN usage.
You guys are thinking way too low. I want an HBO app and an ESPN app and an app for my local channels. While you are at it throw in TMC, FX, AMC, Showtime, PBS, MLB Network, NBA streaming, NFL streaming, The Food Network, Discovery, National Geographic Channel, Hulu, Hulu Plus, Mubi, BBC, BBC America…. I could go on and on. Market to me and I'll pay you and not the cable companies.
Similar to MLB Network, I would like to watch my MLB.TV subscription through the box. I bought it so I could stop hooking up my laptop to my TV, but without an MLB.TV app, I'll have to keep doing that.
A facial recognition app linked to IMDb and a song identifier app.
Just make it work better, stop freezing and crashing chrome.
App the would allow to monitoring a USB camera connected to GoogleTV via smartphone.
Google Chrome TV does not support device IP addresses i believe. Would need to hack this I believe. Do you watch squirrels run around yard.
i will try to connect some how the kinnet from xbox 360 or other way to interact with the tv not using the control or key board so that way i could play some games change the channel or search what ever i feel like watching with my voice that will make more simple to have android market on my tv. if not i still use my pc or my tablet.
I think they know I would want the same functionality as Ipad. ABC, NBC, CBS, and Hulu etc.
Maybe it will be "in a few weeks".
NESoid!
How about Video Skype??
allow me to view pdf docs.
Funny, my Apple TV hasn't even been powered on since I got a Google TV. This is by far the most solid combo of Internet TV to date…and I've tried more than I care to mention. Google TV gets Bonus Points for playing .mkv files natively too!
Powerpoint/Keynote presentation app for companies to display presentations on their tv!
ABILITY TO CHAT WITH SKYPE USERS, MAYBE A VIDEO RECORDING PROGRAM TO MAKE THE 150 DOLLAR CAMERA SEEM MORE USEFUL. AND MAYBE SOME MOTION SENSOR RECOGNITION SOFTWARE TO USE WITH THE CAMERA. IT SEEMS JUST POINTLESS TO HAVE THE CAMERA OPTION OTHERWIISE.
Games could have a huge place. Angry Birds would be fun from the couch. So would games like Peggle, Chuzzle, and Bejeweled. Google TV could OWN the 'casual' in casual games. Social apps would also be great. Skype. Messenger programs. Facebook. The amount of POTENTIAL GTV has is insane…that why what they are failing with right now is so insane. HURRY Google!!!
i want to have window media plugin
pdf files viewer and skype.
IP CAMViewer for security, business monitoring while home, traffic monitoring before going out to work, looking in on property…. This software is amazing and I can't wait to get it on my Google TV!
