New web-based Android Market live

Google’s big Honeycomb event at the company’s headquarters in Mountain View is going on right now, and you can watch it live at It has been speculated that one of the things Google was going to announce at the event, was a new web-based Android Market that among other things would let us push apps straight to our phones and tablets.

That rumor turned out to be true, and at the time of writing Google is presenting the new Market. I naturally couldn’t resist visiting the same URL as the presenter at the Honeycomb event, and the new desktop version of the Android Market turned out to work just fine.

You need to log in with your Google account in order to purchase apps, but I have unfortunately not been able to successfully log in yet. Hopefully you’ll have better luck. If you want to take a look at the new web-based Android Market, head to and check out all the new exciting features yourself.
