First the Facebook phone was a rumor, then it didn’t exist, and then it was spotted in the Bluetooth SIG as Facebook-centric phone built by someone other than the House of Zuckerberg. Now we know that the phone is real enough to get its first hands-on video.
The INQ Cloud Touch is the Facebook phone. Developed by a British company using Android and some help from Facebook. TechCrunch managed to get an early hands-on with a product manager, but it’s important to note that this is a pre-production phone. So excuse the clunky look of the physical design because the phone may be different by the time that it hits stores.
The Cloud Touch is targeted for the Europe this May and hope to be available in North America later. There’s also a version with a QWERTY keyboard in the pipeline, but this all just wishful thinking until INQ can pin-down some contracts and solid dates.
