We’ve seen the Xperia Arc captured on film before, but this is the most thorough video preview to date of Sony Ericsson’s upcoming flagship Android phone. Italian smartphone blog HDBlog.it has impressively managed to score both the black and silver models of the Arc, and gives us a tour of the hardware and software.
Sony Ericsson’s Timescape and Mediascape are now luckily just widgets, so they’re “far less intrusive” according to the hands-on videos, and they report that the UI is “faster and easier to use.”
The 4.2-inch Xperia Arc has a couple of things going for it, such as the 8MP camera that has the potential to be one of the best shooters available on a phone. As Andrew previously reported, the Xperia Arc features Sony’s Exmor R: a new sensor technology that will improve pictures taken under low-light conditions. The CMOS sensor is said to be capable of “taking exceptional photographs even by candlelight.” Hit play if you want to take a closer look at SE’s latest and greatest.
