Spoiler alert; this won’t be available yet in the US folks. It was inevitable that something like what Shazam and Spotify have teamed up to do was going to happen, it’s just a shame that I didn’t think of it first. That’s why we have the smart folks at Shazam and Spotify though announcing their plans to partner up to allow users to identify music with Shazam and the instantly stream it with Spotify.
Shazam says that later this quarter the functionality will be coming to both iOS and Android in an update to their extremely popular music “identifier” app. And for those who don’t know Spotify, it’s an unlimited music streaming service much like Rdio, Rhapsody, or MOG, but according to most users, much better. Spotify is available in the UK, Sweden, Norway, Finland, France, Spain and the Netherlands as of now.
I like it when we see developers and innovative companies partner up, especially when something makes so much sense. This will obviously be a huge benefit to users. Now lets just see Spotify hit the US, or at least have Shazam recognize other streaming apps and give them the same functionality.

Uhm, aren't I already hearing the song anyway? Why a need to stream as well???
Yeah, streaming the song you're already listening to doesn't make much sense unless you're hearing it off of a movie or commercial. But taking this concept one step further, a better solution is Soundhound and Tunee Music Pro. Identify the song in Soundhound, share the info to Tunee, and start downloading the song instantly. Not exactly 100% legal, but it certainly gets the job done.
That was my first thought…why do I want to stream the song I'm already listening to?
I'll be the fourth person to ask: why do you want to stream the song you're already listening to? This partnership doesn't seem all that brilliant at all.
Well now, it is not so hard to work it out folks! You hear a tune on some other source and want to identify it – that's where you use Shazam. Great, now you know what it is you can go to Spotify OK, shall I go over that again ?
Because Spotify lets you save song in playlists and you can have them sync both on your computer and phone, and while you here a song, you just might want to search a simillar artist, and with a Premium subscription you can even have about 3000 songs on your unit in offlinemode. LOve Spotify
