Honeycomb update for Notion Ink Adam in the works

It is amazing what Notion Ink has done over the past year. Introducing and showing off a “dream tablet” running a customized version of Android and then actually bringing the thing to market. It’s a pretty crazy story if you think about it, and even with the recent software glitch debacle tt appears that Notion Ink is here to stay as they are in the process of preparing Honeycomb for their Adam tablet.
There is no word on the release date for the new version Android on the Adam, but considering developers just received access to an early version of the SDK, it will be more like months rather than weeks. What is interesting about this is how Notion Ink will handle the new Honeycomb UI as it is completely different from their custom Eden UI on top of Android 2.2. I highly doubt that they will scrap their “baby” UI for the stock Honeycomb experience, but just how much are they going to have to change to make 3.0 work with Eden?
It looks like we will find out in the coming months what Notion Ink thinks Honeycomb should look and feel like on the Adam, but if I were a betting man (I’m not) I’d say that Notion Ink will replace most, if not all of the Honeycomb interface. If that is the case, except some Honeycomb delays for your Adam.

Why so much attention to a sham of a sub-standard product from the sub-continent?
man you are just a fucking racist.
u r right rkumar. its a crapware built inside a vaporware
@RKUMAR – How does any thing change based on where it comes from? It is what it is – its either good or bad; nothing to do with where it comes from.
Works on an unbranded HTC Desire with Android 2.2 too. And about that apparently random background, it’s not random, just like the standard gallery which uses your pictures for the same effect, the music player uses a zoomed in and heavily blurred and sometimes tiled cover image of the albums you have on the device.
