Things move so fast in the world of technology, that it’s sometimes hard to keep up. Tech lovers who always want to rock the latest and greatest hardware have a tough time. We haven’t even gotten used to the awesomeness of the 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 SoC yet, when we learn that 1.2GHz Tegra 2 chips with dual cores and support for 3D displays are just around the corner.

The next Tegra 2 CPUs, Tegra 2.5 if you will, are going to be marketed as 3D-capable mobile processors. Apparently, the T25 silicon will be mass produced in Q1 2011, and will be available this spring.

Some users don’t see the point in having a mobile device with a glasses-free 3D display, but two CPU cores working 200MHz faster is a nice improvement nonetheless. We’ll likely hear a lot more about the new Tegra 2 chip in the weeks to come, and during MWC February 14-17.
