It was only yesterday that unbranded HTC Legends received a minor firmware update, and today HTC has finally started rolling out the full Froyo experience to unlocked Legend devices in Europe.
Contrary to HTC’s initial statement, Vodafone-branded HTC Legend handsets received Android 2.2 earlier than generic devices, but now all owners of the Legend should be able to download Froyo. Head to Settings > About phone > System software updates on your device to see if it’s available.
To those rocking the Legend: Are you pleased with the Froyo upgrade, or do you think some things are missing? Do you notice a general speed increase? On a side note, Wildfire users will get Android 2.2 “before Christmas” (within two weeks) according to HTC’s Facebook page.
