Job seekers, head hunters, and business professionals take note: LinkedIn has gone Android.

A beta application for the business-focused social networking is now available for devices running Android 2.1 or higher. Within the app is the ability to browse connections, view updates from connections, respond to invitations, and search for people.

The features of LinkedIn are light but so far do the basics well enough for users who manage their LinkedIn accounts from the phone. Much like Facebook and Twitter integration, Android can also merge LinkedIn user data with your contacts list. LinkedIn promises to bring more features before the Market version lands.

In the coming months, we’ll be delivering updated versions of our Beta app that adds new features like access to your Inbox, sharing and commenting on updates, and our popular “People You May Know” feature.

Download the app by visiting http://m.linkedin.com/android and then install the app manually. View our previous tutorial for help getting that done.
