The LG Optimus 2X is slated to be released first in Korea, but it will end up in European shops beginning in January 2011. And when it arrives, the 2X will support ringtones from movie composer Ennio Morricone. Users may remember Morricone as the composer behind a long-list of films. Morricone will provide 25 compositions that will come pre-loaded on the Optimus 2X, 15 of which will be exclusive to the device.
The Optimus 2X is slated to cost £470 when it arrives in the UK. Some users may have been scared off because they saw inflated prices, but that’s only when converting to another currency. Keep in mind that companies set prices based on what the market in each nation will allow; just because it costs X amount of Kronor doesn’t mean you can convert that same price to Y amount of dollars.
And while we’re on the subject of the Optimus 2X, there’s a rumor – repeat, a rumor – that the phone may arrive stateside in March 2011. Don’t put too much stock into this, but RCRWireless claims to have it on “good authority” that the 2X launches on T-Mobile next March.
