   I have an Eris, while I am a little surprised that it was among the first, I can actually see why it would be. The phone seems to have somewhat of a cult following, while very slow and outdated compared to the rest of the Android family it is a great size and has a great feel. Battery life is decent, I usually have about 20-40% left at 11:30 at night with moderate/heavy use with it running Nonsensikal Froyo and I don't do the drastic battery tweaking. I love my Eris, but I still cannot wait to upgrade.

   The Eris is no longer receiving upgrades from Verizon, so it makes since that the community would be doing their own upgrades.
