The Xperia X10 has been Sony Ericsson’s flagship Android phone for quite a while, and considering that we’ve known about the device for a year now – isn’t it strange that we basically haven’t heard anything about its successor yet? Well, the Xperia X10 Blog has gotten its hands on a photo of what might be SE’s next top shelf Android.
According to an anonymous tipster, it’s codenamed ANZU and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Anzu is said to rock a 4.3-inch touchscreen, HDMI output and come in a “very, very slim” design. Worth noting is that the handset in the photo is running Android 2.1. Are any X10 owners inclined to upgrade when/if the Anzu hits the streets?
Update: Another photo has appeared, showing just how thin the device is, and the X10 Blog has received some more info: the Anzu also goes under the name X12, can capture 1080p video and will feature a front-facing camera.
