True to its word, Opera has now released its Opera Mobile 10.1 web browser in the Market. The browser is still in beta, and features pinch-to-zoom, speed dials, Opera Turbo that saves data, as well as hardware acceleration that according to the Norwegian company gives the app “lightning speed”. The browser can also sync bookmarks with the desktop client. Opera Mobile supports all current versions of Android and can be downloaded from the Market or m.opera.com.
The reactions in the Market to Opera Mobile have been mixed so far. It seems that some people aren’t even able to start the browser, and other complaints include the unusually large size (13.6 MB when installed to the SD), as well as slow and sluggish performance. But remember, this is a free app that’s still in beta, and it’s bound to eventually get better.
Will anyone use Opera Mobile as the default Android browser? What’s good and what needs to be improved?

Not working on my HTC Desire (2.2). Crashes out after the loading screen
Blazingly fast (compared to other choices) on my Magic, at last a decent browser with pinch to zoom.
Not working on my HTC Desire (2.2) too.
To avoid poor Market ratings, it seems that the first thing any developer has to do is making sure that the app in question actually will start on as many phones as possible. When a user can’t even launch an application because it crashes, it's bound to get a one star rating.
I'll be sticking to Opera Mini for now, at least until the app size is reduced.
It's 20 MB on my Aria. That's too big for the imporvements it offers over the Mini (which is slower to start) and the built-in browser.
If Froyo ever arrives to this Aria and running apps from the sd card is possible I'll install it.
Less than half of it moves. Epic Fail.
working on Desire (froyo)…. but 13MB even moved to SD is too BIG…. reduced below 3MB will be GOOD.
LOL, does anyone seriously think that a full browser is going to be small?
It loads the mobile websites on my Droid X even if I turn the Mobile View in the Settings menu.
I mean turn "off", sorry.
You might want to clear the browsing data and if that doesn't work goto opera:config in the browser.
I think there is a setting that might allow you to prevent sending more of the browser ID so you can get the non mobile version.
