Google has just confirmed that Voice Search has been expanded to support four new languages: Czech, Polish, Russian, and Turkish. Speakers of those languages can now perform Voice Search functions in their native tongue, provided that they have phones compatible with the feature (Android 2.0 or higher).
I’m not too familiar with the mobile landscape in the affected countries, but I’ve fielded complaints from people in Europe demanding to know when their phone would be upgraded from Cupcake or Donut, so I hope that there are now plenty of people with 2.0+ phones capable of running Voice Search. Maybe those people could then perform a search to realize that I have no authority in determining when their phones will be upgraded.
Download Voice Search from the Android Market by searching for “Voice Search”
Note: I’m linking to the AppBrain install method because I’m not sure if Google has localized versions of the app based on country. A search in the market app should turn up the app.
