Beginning Sunday, new Epic 4G buyers will have extra incentive to give Media Hub a try. From October 31, 2010 to January 8, 2011, Sprint will offer a $50 credit for new Epic 4G customers to rent videos from the Samsung Media Hub.

We just got a tip from a friend that the vouchers will be redeemable through a 10-digit promotion code sent to a subscriber’s phone via text message. That code would then be available for renting movies in Media Hub, though some exclusions may apply.

The gift codes will have some time constraints on them. The entire $50 gift must be used within 60 days of first activating the code, so if you rent a movie on Monday, the clock has started. Users can also wait to activate, but all codes will expire on March 31, 2011.

According to the flyer that we received, this is open only to purchases made on or after October 31. The codes will be sent within 7 days after qualifying purchase.

Thanks, Friend!

P.S. We also hear that the Galaxy Tab is getting this too! Our friend doesn’t have documentation on that but says the same offer is likely to apply. View a hands-on with Media Hub on a Tab if you haven’t already.
