Sony Ericsson seems to want to tell us that buying stuff makes us happy by naming its new app Happiness: a utility that presents deals, bargains and special offers. The app is exclusive for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia series of Android devices, and it will consequently only show up in the Market if you rock an X10, X10 Mini, X10 Mini Pro and the like.
Sony Ericsson is showing off a few examples of the kind of special offers the app can bring on its Happiness Facebook page, including complimentary food, 25% discounts on shoes, a free milkshake and previews of Comedy Central stand-up clips. The offers have the tagline “Everything to make you smile”, and are divided into 8 different categories. For Xperia owners, Happiness could prove to be a nice application to have in the app drawer next to similar tools such as Where and The Coupons App. Has anyone tried it yet?
