The web browser Opera Mobile, Opera Mini’s more fully developed big brother, is coming to Android within a month, and it will tempt potential users with hardware acceleration support and pinch-to-zoom functionality. Opera may be blowing its own horn, but according to the Norwegian software company, hardware acceleration allows the browser to run at “lightning speed” and enables “momentous” improvements to the user-interface.
Pinch-to-zoom is a much welcome addition that will let Opera break free from the current limitation of just two zoom levels, and Opera Mini will get this feature as well. Opera Mobile supports all versions of Android, and it will be available from m.opera.com and the Market within 4 weeks.
