Android App Reviews, Lifestyle

Android phones help users find everything from pizza to tweets, so why not make the robot find your next date?

Dating service offers one of the most comprehensive and appealing apps for Android users looking for love. Closely mirroring the great mobile website, the OkCupid app is a useful way to track potential suitors or targets for dating. Members create profiles to share interests and important details, and then answer questions and quizzes that determine potential matches. (Members are scored on percentage of compatibility for love, friendship, and animosity.)

OkCupid is an interesting app because it offers the desktop experience so well on Android. It has a stream of potential matches in my area, a quick match section to increase the likelihood of interaction between interested parties, favorites, messaging in an inbox, and seeing visitors to your profile page.

Everything about OkCupid, from the top notch interface to the full set of features, is what one would hope for in a solid mobile experience. I only joined the network to review this app, and I never felt like I was missing out by not being on the desktop version of the site. Online dating may not be an ideal match maker for everyone, but people willing to let an algorithm choose the next person to enjoy their company ought to give the OkCupid app a few hours of their time.
