Logitech Revue pre-orders biefly delayed

The Logitech Revue is set to be the first product to deliver Google TV to the masses, but it will arrive slightly later – just a couple of days later, actually – than expected.

Logitech originally said that the Revue would ship shortly, but the company is sending notifications to customers who pre-ordered the television companion box. The e-mail message states that pre-orders have been delayed and will ship beginning October 21.

I placed my order almost 20 minutes before the product was unveiled at CTIA, so the 21st is probably the earliest consumers will see the device shipped. Anyone who placed a pre-order can check their e-mail to see if and when they can expect a package.

Now that I think about it, has anyone placed an order? What’s been the incentive to purchase a Revue; or perhaps, what’s been the hold-up that prevents you from getting the first Google TV product?

How do you know that means it ships on the 21st? Perhaps it will be available to you (aka arriving at your place) on the 21st. I just spoke to TV dept. reps at Best Buy and they seemed confident it would be in stores next Thursday or Friday. Also I note that BestBuy.com estimates the delivery arrival to be the 20-27th. My bet is that its in Best Buy by the 20th. Let's see!
