Android 2.1 is of course old news by know, but people rocking the SE Xperia X10 are still stuck with 1.6 and without doubt want a taste of Éclair. A luring video has appeared from the recent IFA tech conference in Berlin, Germany that shows an X10 running Android 2.1. Unless you speak German you will have no clue what the man is saying, but live wallpapers are obviously supported and the camera seems to have gotten a couple of new features.
The entire series of X10 Android phones should be getting the upgrade to 2.1 in the next couple of weeks, since SE has promised to deliver it in September. Still no word, however, on when they will receive Froyo, but one can only hope it will be before the year’s end.
