Those rocking the 4.3” Motorola Droid X can now finally download the much-anticipated Android 2.2 Froyo update over-the-air. If you don’t get an automatic notification on your device about the upgrade, go to Settings > About phone > System Updates. It’s a fairly large 67MB update, so turn on your Wi-Fi.
Besides all the new features of Froyo, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 is included, as well as improvements to the mobile hotspot application, enhanced visual voicemail with Bluetooth support, and a fix that makes sure data connections don’t drop when you switch between Wi-Fi and 3G networks. Droid X users who still want to enjoy root access should be able to use these two methods described at the xda-developers even after the upgrade.

Well I upgraded to the FINAL 2.2 and I can tell you it's not Advanced Task Killer causing it, I've uninstalled that. Calls to Verizon and Motorola have thus far produced the "duh, I don't know" responses as well as the "oh, you need to factory reset your phone" responses which of course lose all my apps and customizations. This really stinks Motorola. Given the lack of a backup tool like Blackberry has provided for years, this will be the last Droid I buy, time to go back to a real business phone if I can't find a solution to this problem.
