HTC unveils an online enhancement of the Sense experience

At today’s HTC press event in London, the company is apparently announcing more than hardware since it has also unveiled an online enhancement of the Sense experience in the form of The website is a series of connected services for security, backup and remote control of your HTC device. In case a phone is stolen or lost, users can both lock and/or wipe the device via Another feature of the site is that it can help you find a misplaced phone by making it ring loudly, even when the silent mode is activated, and show its location on an online map.

The online service will also let you automatically backup text messages, call history, contacts, data and customizations. Furthermore, HTC is including multimedia features that let us capture, upload and share visual content. The company is also adding real-time filters for picture manipulation and vintage effects.

Are you as excited about as I am? Hopefully these new services will eventually be available for current HTC devices as well, and not only for the phones that have been announced today at the London event.
