The official ESPN Fantasy Football 2010 app is now available in the Android Market. Hot on the heels of the Yahoo! Fantasy app comes one of the other major players in FF, giving folks a chance to neglect their spouse, job, and chores on the go.
The Fantasy Football app will set you back $4.99, surprising since ESPN doesn’t even charge users on the desktop. But I guess that’s the premium you pay for mobile access. The Fantasy app allows users to manage rosters, weekly line-ups, and get push notifications for injury reports. So if there’s a last minute announcement while you’re in church, you can bench a player before game time directly from the phone.
ESPN also offers news stories to help form decisions and live scoring updates to help track your match-ups. If you’re not keen on paying the $5 for the privilege, don’t forget that m.espn.com offers similar functionality. You can also wait on third-party solutions set to debut this week.

I have been using this app since day-1 of its release and it works very well. Very clean and easy to use. However, I have no idea how well it works with real-time updating yet since we haven't had a regular season game yet.
I can't believe they are charging for it, and $5 at that .99 maybe!. Wow even more stupid that they are charging for it is that people are buying it. You can go to the site from your phones browser and do the same thing.
$5 for 16 weeks of convenience with a good design. That’s $0.30/week, lets relax on saying $5 is outrageous Matt.
If you want the Android marketplace to survive you must give developers incentive to make apps (btw money is very incentivizing).
this app is the great fantasy football equalizer!
