Last week, T-Mobile UK announced that customers rocking the Samsung Galaxy S would be able to enjoy the much longed-for Android Froyo update before the end of September. However, just like Sony Ericsson did with the Android 2.1 update for its X10-series, T-Mobile UK now tells us that UK Galaxy S owners patiently have to wait a maximum of two more weeks for Froyo to arrive.

According to well-informed sources, the Galaxy S Android 2.2 upgrade is indeed finished, and if that’s correct, Samsung likely wants to do further testing to make sure the ROM is faultless before releasing it to the public.
