Barnes & Noble has updated its NOOK for Android application, adding critical features and enhancements that catch it up with some of the other eReader apps available now. The new version of NOOK, which requires Android 1.6 or higher, adds the ability to side-load rights-free ePub files. This makes it much easier to load eBooks that users previously downloaded from outside of the Barnes & Noble bookstore.
NOOK for Android also has four new themes with different reading modes, a standard among ereader apps. There’s now Day, Night, Sepia, and Butter themes that are each designed to provide different lighting and color settings. Users can further change the reading experience by changing the margins and brightness settings.
Download Nook from the Android Market to take advantage of these new features. You’ll also discover that it has Apps2SD for users on Froyo and a new search feature.

can’t install this app using QR code, market link also doesn’t work. Where can i find apk file?
Hmmmm… What version is that? I just downloaded NOOK 2.07 from the market. Scoured through every menu in the app and I can't find any side loading feature.
I think you need to drop the epub files in the /sdcrad/nook/MyDocuments/ folder.

Looks like that did the trick. Many thanks.
One drag about the Nook for Android is that it does not remember the last page you've read. Aldiko does.
When I put Epub books in the /sdcrad/nook/MyDocuments/ folder, they do not show up in my Nook for android library. Why not? I've tried it with books that are definitely DRM free and they're still not showing up.
anyone know where i can get the nook 2.07 apk file ? non US residents cant download from marketplace
Same here…
Thank you for android! Can you sync current page to the nook? I want to be able to switch seamlessly between devices Also would like screen to stay on.
