FroyoWatch 2010: Has anyone received their Droid Incredible update yet?

It’s that time of year – or week, actually – where a large segment of Android users obsessively check their phone throughout the day. The word around town is that the Droid Incredible is supposed to receive the update to Android 2.2 today, so everyone is going to be waiting on Froyo.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen plenty of instances in which an update was rumored or promised and the day passed without anything happening besides the clock ticking and angry people asking, “Where’s my update?” I hope that today will not be another Android version of Hurricane Watch or Blizzard Watch, where excited reporters talk about something that seems major but never arrives.
So Incredible users, let’s cross your collective fingers and hope things start flowing in throughout the day. For a preview of some of the things to expect, aside from 720p video recording, check out how Froyo looks on the EVO to see some things that are new in the next version of the software.
UPDATE
and it’s officially not coming today. seems like this was indeed a false alarm since no one got the update today and Verizon has replied to several people asking the VZWSupport Twitter staff that there are no plans to announe for the Incredible.

nope still havent seen it
Well of course not.
The August 18th date was just a rumor, and has been stated as being such all over the Internet. When it does happen, it'll be something phased in over a period of weeks, not something where every phone in the world will get the update at the same time, or even over a 24 hour period. My personal opinion: When it comes, it comes. My Droid Incredible is running just fine on 2.1-1 and I've been enjoying it since I first got it. I'm sure 2.2 will enhance the experience; but it's not like I can't use the phone or go on with living if I don't have it.
i havent gotten mine either and its just about 4:30 in the afternoon and nada!!! im beginning to think it was all a lie just another bullcrap rumor
Yeah – it ain't gonna happen today. At this point I want it to come so that I can get the latest radio upgrade. I'm rooted and Forevered, but I don't want to flash the leaked radio on the off chance that the new radio doesn't play nice. I really want me some Dalvik, Hulu and Flash 10.1 love!
I received the 2.2 update this afternoon. Hurray for me. Hope the rest of you receive your update soon.

And what does the update "there are no plans to announe for the Incredible" mean? This is saying that the incredible will never see an official 2.2 OTA update? Google would probably give a manual download, at least for developers.
