HTC EVO users reporting defects on bottom screen/frame

HTC
The HTC EVO has been nitpicked several times since its release on June 4th, some of which have been major dealbreakers and others wich have been trivial complaints. There’s one legitimate gripe that some users are reporting about their treasured new device. According to complaints at AndroidForums, the EVO’s glass screen and frame are splitting from each other. That poses a problem because it could allow dust to creep in and the device will not be secure.
So what does this mean for EVO users? Not much for most people. There’s always a bad batch of manufactured items, so if your device doesn’t have this problem, you’re good to go. If you do have that problem, return the device to Sprint for a refund or exchange.
Of course, this could definitely change over time if the problem becomes widespread and proves to be a design flaw that appears in more devices over time. HTC and Sprint have sold a great number of EVO’s since June 4th, so both companies better hope this problem doesn’t appear more frequently.

I am right now debating if I want to exchange my phone for another one.
I got one like like that, with the light leak and makes kind of a clicking sound in the home corner.
I suggest switching it. I've purchased an EVO for myself and given one to a friend and neither have had the issue. if you pay that much for a phone, you should get a quality product.
No issues here at all with EVO and I've had mine since 6/4.
There seem to be more issues getting covered everyday, from the glass, to only being responsive when its grounded, etc. It's making me a little worried. I have one, and i haven't had too many issues, but it does worry me a bit. However, I'm stuck on sprint because of some family reasons, and there isn't really any other phone that meets even my basic standards.
I've had the EVO since day one and none of the issues folks have mentioned.
No screen/glass/touch issues and also battery is fine for me and lasts all day. Sounds like Apple/Engadget trying to spread lies about the phone because they know this beats the new iphone hands down!
no issues here and i got mine day 1, just sounds like a bunch of people nitpicking on BS to try to make that fruit crap look better, who cares about a high resolution tiny screen.
You know I have noticed that there is a light leak both bottom corners of the phone. I work at radio shack and all the people I sold this phone come in and ask some things in it and I have noticed this same thing on theirs. I haven’t said nothing, but the guy makes a good point, dust can get in side and I had my phone before we even open the doors I love this phone and yes it does beat the iPhone hands down but me and the people I sold these phones to, paid at least 199 plus accessories Id rather get it done and over with.
Dude….. It's called a "period" . Try using one!
Ok so I got my phone last night 6/14 and noticed the light leak…chuckied it up but now that Im reading this I wonder??? Should I be worried??…unfortunately I couldnt find accessories anywhere for my phone…no skins, cases, shields!!! Really pissed at that…
