Back in March we saw the confirmation that a SlingPlayer app was really coming to Android and at the time it was expected to come available sometime during the summer. But since then we have heard few other details — until now. The good news here is that the app has reportedly moved into a private beta status, which means that not just everyone will be able to download, test and use the app. Still, any form of beta testing sounds good because at least it means there is progress being made on the release front. The information comes by way of an anonymous Phandroid tipster who shared the email that was received welcoming him in.
The wait is finally over! A new private beta is available for the SlingPlayer Mobile for Android. Since your beta profile is a good match for testing, you have the opportunity to join the new beta program.
Please note this is a special invitation so do not share this email or the below URL with anyone else. Also, do not mention you received an invitation, that the beta is starting, or anything that’s related. Due to the overwhelming demand for this program, we’d like to keep things as quiet as possible. Just think of it as a secret club!
Sadly though, it seems the URL that was mentioned here in the above email was not included. In other words, most people will have to wait a bit longer. But on the positive side, summer is getting closer and closer every day.
